Vanilla Honey Iced Matcha Latte

Anyone who knows me is well aware of my love for matcha. There is something about matcha that is so light and refreshing. It feels like a treat but with a variety of health benefits such as boosting cognitive function and providing sustained energy. High in antioxidants such as chlorophyll and l-theanine, it is an excellent choice for a drink. I recommend using almond milk as it allows the matcha flavor to shine through as opposed to cow’s milk.

Ingredients:

1 tsp ceremonial grade matcha

2 oz water or ¼ cup

1tsp honey

1 cup vanilla unsweetened Almond Malk

Ice cubes Tavolo

Instructions:

  1. Heat 2 oz of water to 170°F.

  2. Sift 1 tsp matcha into a bowl (chawan).

  3. Pour hot water into bowl and whisk in a w-motion for about 20 seconds.

  4. Immediately add 1 tsp honey (to taste) to the matcha and swirl with spoon to combine. If your almond milk does not contain vanilla, add ¼ tsp of vanilla extract.

  5. Grab your favorite latte cup and add ice cubes.

  6. Pour the matcha into the cup and add 1 cup of almond milk.

  7. Mix with a glass straw and enjoy!
